On October 13-14-15, Villa Filanda Antonini is a guest at the 18th edition of the ArtVerona fair. Our artist residency program has been invited to participate in the LAB section, Pavilion 12, an exhibition area dedicated to not-for-profit institutions.
The booth is intended to evoke the choral dimension of the Villa Filanda Antonini project. It was designed by Eliisa Korpijärvi together with guest artists from the residency program.
Since VFA’s genesis, Korpijärvi has been a close collaborator, and she describes this latest work of hers in these words:
“Villa Filanda Antonini is a space dedicated to sharing knowledge and being together. The installation aims to transfer to the visitors the collective dimension of the residency program and explore how many things togetherness can be. VFA invited me and four former artists-in-residence to work together. In the VFA booth, we wanted to create an immersive space that engaged the senses. We produced an installation full of joy and inspiration. The works are made from recycled fabrics from Arper’s booth at the Salone del Mobile. At the same time, it is a nomadic installation. The use of fabric gives us the sustainable possibility of easily unpacking the exhibition and reassemble it at the next location”.
