Villa Filanda Antonini is hosting its first art ceramic class. It consists of two Sunday sessions led by artist Sofia Bonato with support from Eliisa Korpijärvi.
MAKING, Sunday December 3, 14.00-18.00
During the first session, some useful hand-building techniques for making small objects will be taught. Participation in the workshop is open to both beginners and experts. A potter’s wheel will not be used.

GLAZING, Sunday December 17, 14.00-18.00
Basic glazing techniques will be taught at the beginning of the second appointment. It will be possible to experiment with various glazes by choosing from many lovely colors and different techniques.

PRACTICAL INFO. During the course, 0.5kg of clay will be delivered with which to shape objects. Course price: €99 The price of the course includes two teaching sessions, materials, VAT 22%, and raw and glazing firings by us. Course registration is binding. Places canceled less than 24 hours before the course will not be refunded. 15 participants are accepted maximum. Finished work can be picked up from the studio on Friday 22.12 from 17:00 to 19:00.

SOFIA BONATO is an Italian-Moroccan artist currently living and working in Padova. In 2016, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, Italy. In 2018, she earned a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins in London. Sofia Bonato’s artistic practice seamlessly combines a diverse range of mediums, encompassing video, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and installation art. She has been actively conducting art workshops in various international locations, including Tate Exchange and Tate Modern in London, Dolomiti Contemporanee in Borca di Cadore, and the Fresco Institute Foundation. The final results of these workshops have been exhibited at Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza, Centro Luigi Pecci in Prato, Fondazione Zambon in Vicenza, and Museo della Ceramica di Nove.
