Visual artist Matteo Valerio will open the atelier doors revealing his approach to the discipline, the liturgy of his methodological processes, and the techniques employed. Arriving at Villa Filanda Antonini in early March, Valerio is developing a two-month residency project that will conclude with a solo exhibition. The project, in continuity with his previous artistic production, is an opportunity to deepen strands of research already traced.

Asked about this, Valerio says: I am interested in the revolutionary qualities of materials embedded in the dynamics in which they are produced, in the lifestyle of those who work in them, and in how they react to environmental issues.

During the event, participants will have the opportunity to appreciate the aesthetic qualities of the works and to understand their ethical implications.
