(b. 1979, Helsinki, FIN) is a visual artist living and working in Helsinki. Working mainly by the method of painting and drawing, her expressive works are linked by her strong recognizable handprint. Themes such as the experience of the momentary, time, and inevitable, she approaches both figurative and abstract ways. Her style described, in her own words is “colorful melancholia”.
Her works have been shown in various solo and collective exhibitions both in Finland and abroad, and her open-minded interpretations exceeds the limits between various fields, such as visual art, pattern design, poster art, and performative art. After graduating from the Helsinki University of Art and Design in 2005, Linko has worked with a wide range of companies and institutions. In 2014 she was awarded with 1st prize in European Design Awards. Her recent works have been exhibited f.ex. solo exhibition ‘Blush’ at Local Gallery Helsinki (FI), and group show Synthesis at Saatchi Gallery London (UK) 2022. In the fall of the same year, she was a guest of Villa Filanda Antonini, her productive art residency generated a series of portraits exhibited in the solo exhibition Echos, hosted in the spaces of the Villa.
